SCHOOL OF WOODWORK

Master artisans in the School of Woodwork train students in carpentry, carving and inlay, with a design focus on traditional Afghan styles. Students move from basic practical skills in wood preparation and joinery in their first year to producing increasingly sophisticated pieces in their second and third years of study. They also receive tuition in technical information and drawing with which to supplement their practical skills.
