Turquoise Mountain is working in the Levant to train a new generation of master artisans

We run both entry-level and more advanced apprenticeship progammes across a range of traditional crafts, including woodwork, stone-carving, embroidery, and jewellery. Our courses are open to both refugees and host community members at our training centres in Jabal Amman and in northern Amman. We are also providing entry-level craft training in Zaatari refugee camp.

In addition to technical training, our programme also includes capacity building for business management, design skills and entrepreneurship, as well as focused support to find trainees and apprentices careers in the sector after graduation. Through this programme, we aim to create a network of artisans, designers and artists who can re-energise the craft ecosystem in the Levant.
