Many of the buildings of Murad Khani are excellent examples of traditional Afghan architecture, but today these buildings are fragile, with rotting foundations and walls collapsing in the harsh winter months. Turquoise Mountain is working with the local community to restore these buildings and bring cultural and economic life back to the area.
